I've been painting these wonderful vintage artist boxes for years. Mostly used for plein air painting, a French phrase that refers to painting outside in nature, I often find bits of the artist's story through the dried paint tubes and brushes, palette knives and pencils... Adding a new story to the cases, I gently restore them with color and art giving the new owner a chance to display their prized possessions or organize useful things.
