Using television and video to tell colorful stories
Shannon hosted three seasons of Fresh Coat on DIY Network before moving to Southern Living on Portico television, a smart device channel that reached over 25 million viewers per week.
Shannon made appearances on channels from HGTV and TBS to ABC, and Lifetime Channel. She was recently featured in a documentary for KBS (Korean Broadcast System) about traditional San Francisco artists exploring traditional and visual media.
Shannon's inclination to step behind the camera paid off with opportunities to share her passion for art, home, and color and storytelling from both sides of the camera. She's been behind the camera ever since.
She became creator, executive producer and writer of the first original content video series for DIY Network's website and enjoyed being behind the camera so much, she went on to produce videos for regional, national and international brands. From project development and script writing to scouting, filming, and overseeing the editing process, Shannon approaches video the same way she approaches art and design, with a simple straightforward style that empowers and inspires viewers.
"Thank you for bringing me on this project, it's the best crew, best shoot I think I've ever worked on." -SH
