Escape to Berlin!

I Have the Best Friends. And one of my nearest and dearest, who travels extensively for work, called me up with news that she was going to Munich and London. “If you can come up with the plane ticket, you can stay in my hotel and share dinners, cab rides, and anything else my expense account can handle.”

“Um, let me think abo—yes!” As luck would have it, another great friend, Mateo, lives in Berlin. So I skipped Munich for a visit with him and his wife then caught up with my galpal in London a few days later. Sure, I was just getting started on my room re-dos, but leaving my house for a few days gave me new perspective and fresh drive to stick to my goals!
