At the core of my practice, is the thrill of the creative act. It's the spark of an idea I dive into head-first exploring everything about this thought until I can see if my hunch, after all, is a good one.

My studio is my laboratory; my space to create, experiment, and pursue my ideas until they're ready to be shared. It's where I develop unique home accessories and fulfill special commissions when I'm not in the field crafting color palettes. It's where inspiration happens and the work gets done.

Launching my decorative painting business 25 years ago was the beginning of a creative career peaked (so far) by countless bespoke finishes, art commissions, and color palettes for discerning clients, plus three seasons hosting and consulting on a successful makeover show on television, and a few years leading an iconic paint label from regional company to national brand through color product and e-commerce development, all while continuing my private work as a residential color curator, artist, and creator of home furnishings through Plein Heir by Shannon Kaye.
