Stars for the Trees original art on salvage wood panel
I thoroughly enjoyed painting this new piece starting with the detailed stencil pattern in rich dark analogous shades of red then working the layers until all the cool little nuances emerge. Rather than paint my usual spray of flowers, I grabbed an oak tree stencil I made last year and created a simple contemplative piece to balance the somber color theme. This is probably the most lyrical illustrative painting that's come out of me and I'm hoping there are more for me to discover. I see hope and faith in this piece, and think the perfect spot for it would be the nook of a room that captures your attention and reminds you that everything will be just fine.
