Big success at the CSL Hillsborough Kitchen Tour

(thanks to Mindy for this photo AND her gorgeous bouquet) Thanks to the dedicated organizers and amazing volunteers for the Community Service League of San Mateo, the Hillsborough Kitchen Tour enjoyed their 34th successful fundraiser for two invaluable organizations; the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County and StarVista Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Center. For me, the event was illuminating, collaborative and fun from the first to last moment- truly a wonderful group of women and volunteers and attendees and collaborators... I feel honored and grateful to have been a part of it all and enjoyed every second of it. Especially, the opportunity I had to stage a gorgeous home with a romantic casual setting of my new Plein...

A Very Good Sign

Yesterday, the new signs for Willa Home went up...   Bringing all the details together takes a mix of exact measuring and visual fussing. For example, keeping the graceful elegant feel of the new Willa Home logo on these jumbo sized signs took a little fussing... These are the Pantone colors the graphic designer and printer used for the logo and business cards: The sign maker could've ordered these exact colors in vinyl for the sign, but the look would've been flat and thin- not good when you want people to notice you from their cars or walking down the sidewalk. So, concentrating more on the 'feel' than the exact color, I chose these stock vinyl colors for a fast...
